Terror of the Autumn Skies hits the Amazon.com bestseller list

Mr. Pardoe's book on Frank Luke Jr., Terror of the Autumn Skies, spent two weeks on the Amazon.com bestseller lists for WWI books and Aviation books.

Blaine Pardoe awarded the State History Award from the Historical Society of Michigan

At their annual meeting in Traverse City Michigan, the Historical Society of Michigan acknowledged the contribution of the book Lost Eagles to the history of that fine state.  Per Mr. Pardoe, "This is a deep honor by a community I respect.  This is not just recognition of my work as an author and historian, but it also recognizes the Fred Zinn's role in the history of Michigan.

Coming Soon - Secret Witness

Mr. Pardoe's first true crime book, Secret Witness, will be available this spring from the University of Michigan Press.  This is the story of the 1967 bombing murder of Nola Puyear in Marshall Michigan. Enoch Chism was convicted of the murder of Nola Puyear but was released after a court ruling declared that he did not receive a speedy trial.  "This book is a really interesting true crime project.  Most true crimes are based in the modern day.  This is a book where you really have to get an understanding of the time period and the culture of small town communities."

Blaine Pardoe signs contract for new book with Hydra Publishing

Blaine Pardoe is pleased to announce that he has signed a contract with Hydra Publishing for a new book, Virginia Creeper.  "Hydra Publishing seemed like the perfect fit for this project.  Details on this book are not available at this time but Mr. Pardoe says, "This is a horror/paranormal book that is a very unique."  This book will be available in 2012 and more details will be forthcoming.

New True Crime Book Project

Mr. Pardoe has begun work on a new true crime project - an unsolved murder in Battle Creek Michigan in 1963.  The victim, Daisy Zick, was stabbed 26 times and her killer was never brought to trial.  "This project is interesting because it remains an open case.  From what I have gathered, the Michigan State Police had suspects but were never able to make a solid enough case to take to court.  Hopefully this book might shake loose some new tips after five decades that can help bring this case to resolution."

Other Book News:

Blaine is still researching a book on Weston Birch (Bert) Hall.  If you have any information on Bert Hall that you would be willing to share, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Pardoe.   "Much of the material I have surfaced recently is new on Bert Hall and when this book is done, it will offer new insights into the man.  I am taking my time on this book since the Lafayette Escadrille is such a highly researched unit. "

Mr. Pardoe has been brought in by Catalyst Games for their new product, Leviathans!   This alternate history project involves the introduction of new technology that allows for flying dreadnoughts at the turn of the 20th century.  "Given my background in both WWI naval history and WWI aviation, this seemed to be a perfect fit.  Leviathans! is a dynamic game and is proving to be a lot of fun to work on.  I've known the leadership at Catalyst Games for a long time and we have a great working relationship.  This was a perfect fit for me with a team I really respect."
